Saga

Saga is a confrontation between two opposing forces, defined abstractly with flowing colorful swirls and line work. It is a medium-sized canvas; 36 x 36 1/8 x 1 1/4″.  The surface is uniformly smooth and the colors are thoroughly established. HOWEVER the strokes have been stippled, so the edges are indistinct.  Viewers have told me they have a difficult time focusing on this piece.  Stretcher bars are medium duty and the support has been cross braced.  Details and signature is on the back brace.

Description

Saga, aside from it’s swirling, rounded shapes and forms, aside from it’s dramatic coloration, represents from my perspective a conflict of mythic proportion, with two diametrically opposed forces vying for dominance over the other.  Its’ surface is uniformly smooth and richly painted; resistant to scratches.  The movement within the painting leads the eye through the conflict.  I believe the energy is strong.
